My theme for Antioch Baptist Church for 2010 will be “A Journey to the Celestial City”. I have taken this theme from the book “Pilgrim Progress” by author John Bunyan. John Bunyan was born in Elstow England in 1628. As you can see this book as been around for almost 400 years and John Bunyan was a spirit filled individual.
If you have not read this book you should get a copy and read it.
As a start I wrote the following:
JOURNEY
Let’s take a Journey in two thousand ten,
but first let’s see where we have been.
The journey depends on your soul’s need,
like love and compassion, surely not greed.
The road well traveled may not always be the best,
but the Lord will surely guide you, at your request.
So pack your Bible and prepare to leave,
to reach Celestial City, you need to believe.
